Mottahari Office Building

The Client Brief Was An Office building with unknown business field. Thus, we didn’t have any certain object to consider for generating a related concept. We should have a view point to the project that can be applied to an office building which any type of users with their own business field can use it. So, we arrange office units on each floor in a way that can be used as one office only, two separated offices in a floor or one united office in a floor in case that each floor would be rented separately. In fact, one of the best alternatives is to use the whole building as the central office of a company if client could find a company to buy it. This program concluded an arrangement of two units in each floor on south and north of the building based on the symmetry and proportion of the land. Utility, services and vertical access (elevators and staircase) gathered in the center of the building to have more M&E efficiency and fewer disturbances for offices entrances. To design the façade, we considered a layer that acts like a curtain which mostly is used in offices. This curtain occurred as horizontal louvers which deformed at some points like we move up and down the office curtains to see other side. This layer of façade is working with the crowd street on north side. South façade which is more simple and calm is working with inner courtyard of the building that is not crowd as the street.
